DETAILS

The 11-story Aventine office building, known for its landmark design, is positioned prominently along the Interstate 5 and La Jolla Village Drive in the heart of the Golden Triangle/UTC area. Prevost was tasked with renovating the existing first floor main lobby - demolishing most of the existing lobby walls and removing a multitude of small spaces - transforming the new primary entry and lobby into one unifying space. Sleek planar Corten feature walls breath new life into the main lobby and enhance directional way-finding to the three upgraded elevator lobbies. Additional key design elements included contemporary stone flooring and lighting throughout, along with specialized tile and custom bronze metal finishes. An indoor/outdoor gathering area and new café integrated into the modern lobby design activate the environment. Interior seating areas vitalize the café and enliven the lobby. New sliding glass Panda door system and exterior protective wood and Corten landscape screen walls expand the seating zone and augment the social engagement and connection to the outdoors.

Entry and Lobby Transformation
