Confidential Health Clinic

An affiliate of the country’s largest single provider of reproductive health services partnered with Skyline Construction to build their largest clinic in downtown Oakland. Due to the nature of the project, the community was heavily involved and the nonprofit organization gave multiple tours of the jobsite throughout construction. Skyline was brought in early to provide strenuous preconstruction services to transform the historic 1920s bank into a modern healthcare facility. This included design-build services for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection infrastructure and design-assist services to help the organization establish new standards for their clinics. Other highlights of the project include 18 treatment rooms and six medical bays with multiple levels of security such as Ballistic Level III walls and reinforced bulletproof exterior glazing. The completed facility is also dedicated to Oakland’s mayor-elect, Barbara Lee.
