PACE Tri-Valley, West County & Temescal
Skyline recently constructed three alternative care facilities for PACE in Livermore, El Sobrante and Oakland. Each Alternative Care Setting (ACS) functions as a central place for aging seniors to receive medical care, socialization, meals and activities under one roof. The construction of each space includes medical exam rooms, commercial kitchens, and social spaces for performances and group activities. Moveable walls allow flexible use of each location’s cafeteria and day center spaces. Other elements such as mock-up apartments and rehabilitation gyms provide seniors with space for occupational, behavioral, and physical therapy services. Skyline Construction provided significant infrastructure and structural upgrades to bring each location up to OSHPD-3 licensing requirements.

Community Approach to Healthcare
Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a healthcare program that allows patients to receive care and services in their own community instead of at a nursing home or other care facility. Each location houses an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals who will work with patients to help coordinate the care they need. These PACE Centers must meet strict requirements and provide care and services covered by Medicare and Medicaid such as adult day primary care, preventive care, social services, and meals.
