Project
DETAILS
A leading rideshare and food delivery service company expanded its footprint into Silicon Valley with the lease of 2 new buildings in the heart of Sunnyvale. The company plans to employ up to 1,900 people in these offices.
This move solidified the company’s strategy to tap into the array of talent in the Silicon Valley job market. With a headquarters location in San Francisco, this Silicon Valley campus was designed to maintain an urban feel but with the environment, space, and amenities that the local area has to offer.
Skyline partnered with this powerhouse company to build 5 floors, totaling 156,000 sq. ft. in their new Sunnyvale campus. A focal point of the space was a high-end reception area with custom undulating 2,500 lb. light fixtures, wall finishes, and terrazzo/concrete flooring. Other notable features include a clean, open-ceiling concept, a custom graphics package, a full-service kitchen with an exquisite dining area, a collaboration space with extensive audio/visual systems, and custom meeting space campers with intricate steel frame and millwork. Also unique to this project was the high-tech “engineer’s lounge” with a virtual reality space theme featuring black ceilings and reclaimed wood accents.
