Project
DETAILS
A leading rideshare and food delivery service company expanded its footprint into Silicon Valley with the lease of 2 new buildings in the heart of Sunnyvale. The new campus can accommodate up to 1,900 employees, solidifying the company’s strategy to tap into the array of talent in the Silicon Valley job market. While the local headquarters is in San Francisco, this Silicon Valley campus will maintain an urban feel while highlighting the environment, space, and amenities the local area has to offer.
Skyline partnered with this powerhouse company to build-out 9 floors, totaling nearly 280,000 sq. ft. across the two buildings in Sunnyvale. One of the focal points includes a high-end reception area with custom, undulating 2,500-pound light fixtures; wall finishes; and terrazzo/concrete flooring. The space also features large-scale graphics, new millwork, and a clean open-ceiling concept. Both buildings feature first-floor, full-service kitchens with exquisite, expanded dining areas. Additional spaces include a collaboration space with extensive audio/visual systems, libraries, break rooms, game rooms, and custom meeting space campers with intricate steel frames and millwork. Also unique to this project was the high-tech “engineer’s lounge” with a virtual reality space theme featuring black ceilings and reclaimed wood accents.
