Refresh project in a 2-story historic building for genetic testing company

The 80,000 sq. ft. San Francisco headquarters of the genetic testing company included the demolition and build-out of the 2-floor historic building. Updates include open and private offices, collaboration spaces, large laboratory space, open kitchen and break area, IDF room and all new MEP systems. Unique features include roll-up garage doors, exposed hardwood beams and columns, and a large flex-use/training space.

Every project is fully customized to satisfy the specific needs of our client’s business. Here are a few features that make this space especially unique.

Laboratory Space

The majority of one floor was devoted to the genetic testing laboratories. Extra cooling and electrical was added to keep up with the equipment's demands and company growth

Historic Building

The design team took care to honor the historic building by incorporating the exposed hardwood beams and columns into their design

Flex-use / Training space

AV integration and sound mitigating panels kept this space flexible so that it could be used for many different occasions from training to company events
