Introducing

888 Post Street

Tidewater Capital partnered with Skyline Construction to develop San Francisco’s first Navigation Center to serve transitional youth.

PROJECT

DETAILS

Tidewater Capital, the San Francisco-based property owner, and developer who acquired 888 Post Street in 2019, partnered with Skyline Construction to develop San Francisco’s first Navigation Center to serve transitional youth ages 18-24.

This 75-bed homeless rehabilitation center will provide 24/7 shelter access for young people ages 18-24. It will provide intervention, rehabilitation, and guidance services to help San Francisco’s homeless youth discover a path forward.

Our team performed building repositioning that including the addition of structural footings and fire-rated shotcrete walls. We also added a mezzanine level and a new roof. Once the seismic rehabilitation of the building was complete, our team performed the interior build-out for the tenants to occupy.

The new facility includes meeting rooms, a dining area, and a lounge to support the center’s community services. It will also house a 75-bed dormitory equipped with lockers, showers, and a health clinic.

This navigation center will support Mayor London Breed’s Rising Up Campaign, which aims to reduce youth homelessness in San Francisco by half in 2023.
