Introducing

Electrical Riser Replacement

Demolition and replacement of 1960s electrical risers and mechanical systems for entire building.

PROJECT

DETAILS

This project centers around the demolition and replacement of the building’s original electrical risers and corresponding mechanical systems from 1960. The new Eaton systems were built in place in the basement of each of the two, 205,000 sq. ft., 14-story towers, and the new riser system was installed with distribution to each level’s in-floor access panels. Improvements included electrical closets on each floor, a new main switchgear room for each tower, and the temporary systems used during the phased switchover from old to new systems. A new emergency UPS system was installed on the penthouse level to act as a battery backup for the two towers and neighboring low-rise building.
