At Skyline Construction, we are redefining what it means to build smarter. Spanning 336,000 sq. ft., we’re transforming a massive open facility into a highly specialized, multi-functional manufacturing hub — and we’re doing it smarter.

From engineering 40-foot full-height demising walls to carve out distinct production, cleanroom, and collaborative zones, to orchestrating a helicopter pick for critical rooftop mechanical installations, every move is designed to maximize efficiency and minimize disruption.

Key highlights of the build include:

  • Full-Height 40-Foot Demising Walls
  • Helicopter Pick for Rooftop Installation
  • Installing 45 Injection Molding Machines
  • Major Power and Cooling Infrastructure Upgrades
  • Coordinated Resin Delivery System Integration
  • Precision Humidification for Controlled Environments

Why It Matters

By leveraging smarter construction strategies, Skyline is able to reduce the overall schedule and is slated to deliver more than $13 million in value-engineered savings — all without compromising quality or performance.

See below for more updates on the build, and stay tuned for more coverage, complete with behind-the-scenes footage, time-lapse videos, and interviews with the team making it happen.

Helicopter Pick

The below video features one of the most critical milestones of this project: the helicopter pick. Senior Project Manager Nick Vanek and SQP Director Tim Lally unpack the strategy behind the helicopter pick and why it was the right move for the project. From accelerated schedule and cost savings to the precise logistics and safety coordination required, this operation highlights how early planning and disciplined execution turn complex challenges into controlled, efficient outcomes.

MEP Rack and Wall Construction

Check out the below gallery for the latest progress photos of the project, including the erecting of the walls to form the various production rooms, as well as the MEP rack that centralizes the building’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

A sneak peek into the beginning of construction

The below video shows how Skyline prepped the site for the extensive modifications, including the floor prep layout, the installation of the 40-foot-tall studs that provide the frames of the newly demised spaces, and saw cutting the concrete floor for new foundations and floor drains.
