Jessica Callahan - Project Executive

Jessica began her construction management career 15 years ago at her uncle's general contracting firm. She has since worked with multiple construction firms in the Bay Area. Throughout her tenure at Skyline, Jessica has led large scale projects for high profile clients such as Workday, Oracle and PG&E. She spearheaded the development of the Building America Challenge (BAC), an initiative that encourages sourcing American-made materials for a construction project. "My first BAC project the proudest accomplishment of my career to date. I'm blown away that one tenant improvement project could create four U.S. manufacturing jobs." Jessica was recently honored for her achievements and named one of the 40 under 40 rising stars of the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times.

As Project Executive, Jessica leads and mentors a team of construction professionals to build exquisite space for her clients, while building her network at the same time. Jessica compares her big picture management style to the game of curling, with the employee as the rock traveling down the ice of their career path. Her job as a manager is to be the sweeper with the broom, providing guidance and removing obstacles so that they can pick up momentum and reach their goals. Her day-to-day management style is inspired by her own experience moving up the ladder in different positions. "I try to repeat positive experiences for the people I work with and avoid situations that I recall being frustrated in during different points in my career. My communication style with employees is honest and direct, with hint of sarcasm and a splash of humor."

Off the clock, Jessica is a DIY'er by nature. She enjoys re-purposing furniture and antiques into rustic, farmhouse-style design pieces for her home that she shares with her 2 daughters and husband.
