Sean’s love for construction evolved through a mix of trial and error. He was always a math and science buff with some interest engineering. He decided to pursue a Civil Engineering path at UC Davis, should his slight interest turn into something more substantial. After earning his degree, Sean dove head first into the industry, starting as a Project Engineer at Howard S. Wright (currently Balfour Beatty), where he spent 14 years of his career. He was ultimately drawn to the “family feel” that Skyline has ingrained into our culture.  Sean’s role as Principal is to oversee the Operations department in our Silicon Valley office, helping to guide the team forward.

Sean models his management style after people that have mentored him in the past. “I prefer to lead by example. I’m not a general making calls behind the lines, I get in there and am not afraid to roll up my sleeves and do the work with my team.”

Free time is a luxury that Sean and his family don’t have very often. He has 3 kids involved in basketball, baseball and softball--most of which he has a hand in coaching. His “free” time lately has been spent in pursuit of learning Spanish, which his son has decided to learn in the upcoming year.
