This Menlo Park law firm’s 43,500 sq. ft. interior renovations encompassed 2 separate buildings. The new construction opened up their existing space providing open work areas for better team collaboration and updated the office’s look and feel. Skyline provided value engineering and design/build MEP systems during preconstruction and during construction, coordination with the basebuilding contractor finishing the façade and structural work. Renovations included copy rooms, IT infrastructure, coffee bars/break areas, huddle rooms, and two large conference rooms with Fiz Felt divider panels and custom 9wood ceilings, as well as new finishes, lighting and Title24 upgrades. The biggest hurdle was replacing the old BMS system. After careful planning and consultation with the project team, building engineers and a preferred HVAC subcontractor Skyline was able to make a comprehensive plan that allowed the new BMS system to function fully and still work with the existing and new VAVs.
