Dan is responsible for the administration and oversight of Skyline Construction’s Health and Safety Program to ensure compliance with city, state and federal regulations, and to support Skyline Construction’s commitment to safety throughout the organization.
HIS BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Dan has 10 years of construction safety experience and a collective 39 years of commercial construction experience. He has earned over 25 certifications and designations including Construction Health and Safety Technician, Safety Trained Supervisor Construction, Silica Awareness Instructor, OSHA Regulations Instructor and more. Prior to joining Skyline, Dan worked as a senior level Safety Manager at a commercial drywall contractor in the Bay Area for 10 years. He also served as an Apprenticeship Instructor for 22 years teaching all aspects of the Drywall Lathing trade including safety.
HIS MANAGEMENT STYLE
Dan subscribes to three key management philosophies: lead by example, remain approachable and work as a team. Under these guiding principles, he believes any good leader can build trust, empower a team and mentor employees.
HIS INTERESTS AND HOBBIES
Outside of work, Dan roots for all the major Bay Area sports teams including the Giants, 49ers and Sharks. He makes it clear that he is a fan, not a fanatic. He also enjoys camping, fishing, archery and shooting. Dan has been a Boy Scout Troop Leader for 18 years and enjoys working with kids of all ages.
